Two men are in custody after allegedly kidnapping a woman off a Stockton Street and leading police on a short pursuit out to the highway this week. Stockton Police Department officers responded to a possible kidnapping at a truck stop near Charter Way just west of Interstate 5 on Jan.

As authorities motioned the two occupants of the vehicle to pull over, the suspects fled, starting a pursuit that reportedly lasted three minutes and covered a distance of 2 miles. The Sheriff's Office said the chase ended when the suspects' vehicle reached a dead end.
