Vanderbilt entered the Associated Press women's basketball Top 25 on Monday at No. 23, its first ranking in more than a decade, while Texas returned to the top five and Ohio State and Duke both jumped back into the top 10.

South Carolina out-rebounded Vanderbilt by 12, the third-largest margin of the season. That has been USC’s biggest struggle this year, ranking 11th in the SEC in rebounding margin. USC was out-rebounded in the first two SEC games, before edging Auburn in that area.

Leading 63-61, Vanderbilt guard AJ Hoggard lost control of the ball in the lane and grabbed the ankle of South Carolina forward Collin Murray-Boyles with 41.1 seconds left. After a review, the officials called a Flagrant 1 foul. Murray-Boyles made the two free throws to tie it at 63-all and South Carolina got the ball back.
