In an official statement, KCA president Jayesh George addressed the ongoing debate surrounding Samson’s non-inclusion, emphasizing the associations strict adherence to its policies.

George, a former BCCI joint-secretary, also said that he was contacted by BCCI COO Hemang Amin before the Champions Trophy selection on Saturday morning about Sanju Samson's absence from the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament.
