For Ruston, this position is very familiar as it has captured nine state championships in school history and has made over 12 appearances in the game. On the other hand, Central has only been on this big stage twice before this year and both times were back in the 1990s and 1960s.

ASH Trojans fall to Edna Karr Cougars in LHSAA Prep Classic Championship
In the final round of the Division I Select Playoffs, the ASH Trojans (12-1) lost to the Edna Karr Cougars (13-0), 53-8. The Trojans’ offense was locked down by the Cougars, with five three-and-outs, a season-low 3.7 yards per carry (YPC) and a pass completion rate of 33%.
