BOSTON — Two Massachusetts men are accused of flying a drone too close to Logan International Airport on Saturday, authorities said. Robert Duffy, 42, of Charlestown, and Jeremy Folcik, 32, of Bridgewater, are facing trespassing charges after Boston police said they were caught flying drones on Boston Harbor’s Long Island, WFXT reported.

BOSTON — Two men accused of recklessly flying a drone close to Logan Airport over the weekend faced a judge on Monday. 42-year-old Robert Duffy of Charlestown and 32-year-old Jeremy Folcik of Bridgewater are facing charges of trespassing, breaking and entering, and violating a municipal ordinance or bylaw.

The mystery surrounding at least one of the unexplained drones causing Americans to look toward the night sky in recent days was solved late Saturday evening, when Boston police arrested two men for allegedly flying their unmanned aerial device too close to Logan Airport.

Two people will face charges after allegedly flying a drone too close to Boston’s Logan Airport Saturday, according to police.

Robert Duffy of Charlestown and 32-year-old Jeremy Folcik of Bridgewater, Massachusetts were arrested Saturday night by the Boston Police Harbor Patrol Unit on Long Island, which is part of the Boston Harbor Islands.

The arrests occur amid a number of reported drone sightings in the Northeast, including New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

More suspected drone sightings in the eastern U.S. led to a temporary airspace shutdown at an Air Force base in Ohio and arrests near Boston's Logan International Airport, as elected officials increased their push for action to identify and stop the mysterious unmanned flights.
