Amid mounting international criticism of its military conduct in Gaza, Israel says it will deepen ties with countries it considers friendly toward it.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has announced the closure of the country’s embassy in Ireland on Sunday, citing “extreme anti-Israel policies.”

Israel said Sunday it will close its embassy in Ireland as relations deteriorated over the war in Gaza, where Palestinian medical officials said new Israeli airstrikes killed over 30 people including several children.
