Senate Democratic leaders stood in support of Social Security benefits on Monday in the wake of the Social Security Administration's announcement it's planning to cut 7,000 jobs as part of "significant workforce reductions.

Sen. Chuck Schumer warned that social security is "under attack" by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, raising alarm over cuts to the program's workforce. "Trump and Musk have decided to attack the bedrock of America's social safety net,
