Chris Boswell broke a Steelers franchise record during the first quarter of the team's Week 15 game versus the Eagles.

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell has set the franchise record for most field goals made in a season. Boswell has made 37 field goals this season, which his previous record of 36 field goals made in a season. He could break the all-time NFL record, which is 44 field goals made. That was set by San Francisco 49ers kicker David Akers in 2011.

Boswell’s 37-yard field goal in the first quarter put him at 37 on the season, helping break a record he set back in 2021.

It’s been a record-breaking season for kickers across the NFL, with field goals flying at lengths unseen before. Boswell has made 11 field goals from beyond 50 yards, which was the record until this year, when Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn broke it. (Fairbairn has 13 field goals of 50 or more yards through 13 games.)
