State officials say a number of election offices in Minnesota have received email bomb threats since last Friday.

Tashua Elementary School in Trumbull was placed under lockdown Monday after a bomb threat was received in the afternoon, a school official said.

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Kings County revealed Tuesday that its Elections Department received a bomb threat on Friday, November 8. Officials say it was one of several similar threats targeting elections offices across the state. The FBI and the California Secretary of State's Office investigated and have deemed the threat non-credible.

As of Tuesday, Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says that election offices in over half of the counties in the state have received bomb threats since Friday.

The State Board of Elections is coordinating with federal officials after 15 local boards of elections received bomb threats as votes were being counted Friday, according to Maryland’s elections administrator.

Election offices in over half of Minnesota’s 87 counties have received bomb threats since Friday, Secretary of State Steve Simon said Tuesday. Simon’s office said it has received reports from state, county and federal officials saying that threats were sent via email over the past few days.

Since Election Day, the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office says it's been notified that election offices in more than half of the state's counties have received bomb threats by email.
