Among the Greater Manchester branches affected are the Lloyds in Farnworth, Bolton, which will close in May. The Halifax in Walkden, Salford, will be next to close in September, followed by Lloyds in Bury and Halifax in Bolton during the autumn. The Lloyds bank in Manchester Moston is then set to close next year.

The closures announced by Lloyds Banking Group will include 61 Lloyds branches, 61 Halifax branches, and 14 Bank of Scotland branches, with the shutdowns scheduled between May 2025 and March 2026.
Sanquhar Bank of Scotland branch set to close in May
It confirmed that it will close 61 Lloyds, 61 Halifax and 14 Bank of Scotland branches between May this year and March 2026. The cash machine at the branch will also close, with the nearest free-to-use cash machine located at the old Royal Bank of Scotland spot.
