95% of the tour is outside. It was cold the day we did it, but I was prepared and wore layers and warm boots. The optional movie at the beginning is inside the visitors center.

There is a short film they show before you start the walking tour, half hour tops. Then the walking portion is about an hour. Keep in mind that if you have an active group then the tour my run a little longer to accommodate the questions/conversations. Expect to be about 2 hours total give or take.
