The beach is wonderful. Many hotels with beachfront access and restaurants as well. The beach is free and pet-friendly. Recommend for families. Full review by puppy3600

BBQs are allowed now on the "water side" of the concrete Beachwalk. Bring your own BBQ pit (no open campfires allowed). The city defines BBQ as "enclosed fire for cooking food" ... Also, be sure to bring a bucket to douse your coals with saltwater. Then bag up the cold coals and dispose of them in trash cans, as burying them in the sand can be dangerous to other beach users.
